About Army Public School:
Army Public School, Amritsar was established in July 1991 with classes upto V standard at NCO’s institute and was upgraded to Class X in April, 1998. The school was shifted to re-appropriated MES building in July, 1998. Class XII was added to it from 1st July, 2003. The school shifted to its new building in Nov, 2009 and got the status of Army Public School. The new building was formally inaugurated by Lt Gen Ramesh Halgali, SM GOC 11 CORPS on 11th May, 2010. It is spread over an area of 24 acres and cater for 2500 students.

Eligibility:
PGT
a) M. Tech in Computer Science/ M. Sc in Computer Science / from a recognized University.
b) Experienced candidates shall be preferred.
TGT
a) Graduate (In/with the subject in which employment is sought), B.Ed. and equivalent with minimum 50% marks in each. In case the candidate has not got 50% marks in graduation but has obtained 50% or more marks in Post-graduation in the subject, the candidature shall be valid.
b) Teaching Experience desirable.
c) CSB, CTET/TET qualified candidates will be given preference.
Music
M. A. (Music) or M. Music of any recognized University.
OR
BA in Music followed by a minimum of 2 years Diploma / Certificate in Music from an institute recognized by State / Central Government.
OR
Hr. Sec/Sr Sec with minimum of 7 years Diploma / Certificate in Music from an Institute recognized by State/Central Government. Must have Knowledge and fluency of playing Western Music Instrument/s.
Special Educator
a) Post graduate diploma in community based rehabilitation with six months certificate course in education of children with special needs. * Std XII passed with RCI recognized qualification for minimum one year duration and six months with special needs.
